What is E-liquid?

If you’re new to vaping, then chances are you hear a lot of different words, and you don’t know what they mean. In the following article, we’ll cover what e-liquid is and what it’s made of.

E-liquid, E-juice, vape juice the names go on, but they all mean the same thing. E-liquid is the liquid inside vaporizers or e-cigarettes. This is the liquid which is heated to extremely high temperatures and then turned into a vapor which is inhaled. Much like when you draw on a traditional cigarette. The big difference is that e-liquid isn’t burnt, it’s simply heated until it becomes a vapor. That means no nasty carcinogenic.

E-liquid is made up of four main ingredients, with PG and VG being the biggest components. When you purchase e-liquid, it will have a nicotine strength and ration on it. 30/70 PG and VG, 50/50 PG and VG, etc. as well as a nicotine strength 4mg, 8mg, 12mg and so on.

E-liquid is made up of several different ingredients:

Propylene Glycol – (PG) This is what gives you the stronger throat hit like a traditional cigarette would. It is a thin liquid, which has no flavor, making it an ideal carrier for the flavoring in your e-liquid.

Vegetable Glycerin – (VG) This is what produces the large amounts of vapor in your e-liquid or e-juice. It is a thicker, sweeter liquid. The higher the VG, the more vapor you will have. High VG e-liquids are good for experienced vapers and more powerful mods.

Flavoring – This is where your imagination can run wild! Fruits, desserts, drinks, chocolate, candy, tobacco or a combination of different flavors to make your favorite vape.

Nicotine – You can choose the strength of your e-liquid. It could be 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12mg and on and on! The stronger the nicotine, the bigger the nicotine hit will be. Nicotine has its own flavor, so the stronger you go, the fewer flavors will be available.

You can also choose no nicotine if you prefer.
